Bluedog Customs is located right in the heart of the driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin. The glaciers missed this area a gazillion years ago so nothing was flattened. The resulting terrain is very many short, steep hills that go on for miles. This is the testing ground for the bikes I build. Off road my frames never get a break, they need to be lightweight yet able to take the abuse they are sure to get. On the pavement they need to be quick and responsive yet comfortable enough to be on for a while, because around here you never want to stop riding.
Unlike many frame builders, I am fortunate enough to be working in collaboration with an established bike shop, called… you guessed it, Bluedog Cycles. In fact we share the same location. Pete Taylor, owner of Bluedog Cycles, has over 10 years wrenching experience. This experience has shaped Pete into an outstanding wheel builder. He also has the unique ability to identify a cyclist’s individual needs and create the best possible build kit.
